Hello there! (get it) I'm Jeremy Tisalona and I see that you have come across my little blog. Well if you're willing to stay and see what I'm up to then that's on you so don't go around saying "I wasted my time reading this I want my minutes back"
Anyway I grew up in Bambang, Los Baños Laguna, right here in the chaotic archipelago that is the Philippines. What does a young person who was born into the dawn of the new age of technology usually do?. Well for me it was using the computer and by using I mean playing old classic games such as Warcraft 3, CnC Generals, Diablo and most other old games back in the day. It was there that my curiosity and love for video games started to grow. From seeing all these cool characters and their voice work to how does it actually run and how can someone make this for any other person to play and access.
So that's where it begins, my passion for music and video games. The soundtracks of the games listed and the ones that I have not mentioned always seem to stick with me throughout the years. From the Human Campaign track "Blackrock & Roll" for Warcraft 3:Reign of Chaos to GLA theme 11 for CnC Generals. The immersion you get when commanding a whole army and hearing these battle themes is something else, much more for kid me when the creativity juices were overflowing with made up scenarios and stories for each battle and skirmish. Of course I don't only play games with themes of war and conquest. Story driven games such as Undertale and Simulation games are a nice contrast to the adrenaline inducing RTS'. Games that teach you about the more peaceful aspects of life and sometimes brings about deeper topics that can help shape the mind of an impressionable young child.
Musicals, oh where do I begin. I Love Musicals. The very first musical I was exposed to by my own volition was Hamilton way back in 2016. It was something different from the other songs I listened to as a kid. Imagine listening to the likes of justin bieber and then suddenly boom youre learning about the founding fathers of america when you dont even know your own country's history yet. It was another half of what made me, well, me. Then on I listened to Heathers, Be More Chill (biased because the lead's name is Jeremy) Beetlejuice, Dear Evan Hansen, Six, and Waitress the Musical. So many different genres and stories and I could listen to it free of charge. It's still one of my core personalities, being a huge fan of musicals that is. Because not only you get to hear those magnificent vocals but the stagework, the costumes and the overall designs and themes. It's so amazing.
With that said I usually keep to myself seeing as many of the people I know don't know about my passion for RTS' but I like to think that I am a kind person that is trying to better themselves even with the constant problems in life. I'd rather help than be help if that makes sense. Something to do with Pride or a willingness to prove to someone that I can do it on my own. Destructive I know but for somereason I cant help it.
For quotes I got this one, well it isn't exactly a quote more of a verse from a song
From the song (Wait for It .by Leslie Odom Jr. and Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton)
These lyrics often make me tear up because the reassurance it brings when i'm in a rough spot in life and I've been and still am in many a rough spot. For more personal reasons I cannot say, this song is what makes me still go through with life and how maybe I just need to wait a bit more for a break to come.
Enough with the sad vibes emanating from the last few sentences, what drives me the most in this life is making people happy. Cooking up a nice meal for the family, Horsing around with friends and telling stories and making random people smile in this godforsaken country is what keeps a part of me going. With how tough it is and how tougher it will be in the future I want to try and lighten everyones load and see them smile amidst all the chaos the world is currently in. And I hope that through my actions the ones around me feel more at ease.
Well thats it for my blog(?) a bit of a read if i do say so myself. Mostly games, music and food well food making wasnt mentioned but i love making food. Anyway that'll be the end of my first blog. Hope this found you well
See ya
-Jeremy Tisalona
